      Yesterday was a beautiful day.  My raised bed that had cucumbers in it last year had some grass sneak in.  I started putting cardboard over it with soil on top to smother the grass.  When I'm done I'll cover the bed with clear plastic and let the bed heat up and kill the grass and any weeds.  I'll spread a layer of compost when I take off the plastic.

      Gilbert caught a skunk in a live trap  he had set by Rachael's chicken house for an ermine.

      Watering was done in the greenhouse but it was mostly a day off after the push to get the shipment planted.  Another box comes next Tuesday or Wednesday.  Bekah took some trays of seedlings from the house to transplant.  It was a good day for yard work, sunny, warm, and the dump was open.
