It did not freeze  yesterday, March 10th!  Rain washed away all the snow.  We only got a short spell of the high winds forecast though it was windy and raw all day.  It was raining/snowing with a couple inches of slop on the ground why I was watching our church online.  I was ok with being in the warm house. Bekah and Jay kept the greenhouse wood stove burning all day.  If there was any sun it would get too warm to use the wood stove. Using the wood stove cuts down on how much the propane furnace runs.
I mostly trimmed house plants, repotting some.  I cleaned the front room window plant area which is a deliberate jungle.  As I was doing it I realized part of the reason the house is always cool when there is an East wind is that large window.  Before next winter that window will need to be worked on, perhaps covered with clear plastic.  Perhaps even replaced.  It was a used widow when we put it in many years ago.  I'm starting to slip plants for planting in the flower gardens.  Extras will go to the greenhouse to sell.
May God bless you on this day.  Sally
