The highlight of the day was Andrew stopping by. It is always so good to have him and Gayle home. He and lil Andrew start work tomorrow so he wants to clean my chimney today. Thankfully it is a warm day to have the fire go out. Putting wood on the stove is automatic for us. Even Gilbert comes in and puts wood on the stove first thing. So I hid the lid lifter even though I told everyone. Sure enough Sally came down this morning and asked where it was!
Bekah and heather took gallon jugs of tempered water out to the greenhouse to water the little plants. Bekah said they are growing fast, it took three trips to water them all. Probably from now on some will get tempered water from the water barrels but the hanging plants will get water from the hose. They can leave the hose that brings water to the greenhouse from the horse barn out this week. It looks like they may have to take it up next week. The first day of spring is forecast to be pretty wintery!
Maegin washed the insides of the get to gather room windows yesterday. All I did was clean the woodwork that makes the big windows look like old paned windows. It didn't seem like a good idea to wash the outside with the cold NW wind that blew all day. She said she'd do the outside today. She and Bekah started bringing up Bekah's plants.
I washed the winter curtains, they are drying on the rack by the stove. They are dry, so I will put them away and start cleaning the stove first thing. The Andrews will be here about noon to do the chimney. There is still a bed of coals in the stove. May God bless you on this day, Sally
