Clear, calm, 21 degrees.  Partly cloudy this morning, cloudy this afternoon with a south breeze, a high of 41.  Cloudy tonight with a light SSW breeze, a low of 30. Cloudy tomorrow with a SW breeze, a high of 45, a low of 33.  Partly cloudy Sunday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 44, a low of 29.  Partly cloudy Monday with a WNW breeze, a high of 41,a low of 24.  The storm forecasting snow for Monday night and Tuesday veered away from us. Partly cloudy Tuesday with a strong NNW breeze, a high of 30, a low of 16.  Sunshine Wednesday with a NW wind, a high of 30, a low of 16. Partly cloudy Thursday and Friday with NW winds, highs of 26, lows about 15.  Partly cloudy next weekend with light NW winds, higs in the low twenties, lows about 9. Sunshine Monday the 19th with a strong NW breeze, a high of 27, a low of 14.  Brisk NW breezes the next four days with highs around 30, lows from 14 to 20 on  Friday the 23rd.

    Thanks to a Phemphigoid relapse I slept the day away.  Bekah planted most of the wave petunias.  Tidal wave petunias grow faster than the other waves so she will plant them next week. Some other petunias get planted next week also.  Some the last week in February.  This year the goal is to have them  in bloom for Mother's Day, May 12th.  When Mother's Day is early in May the goal is still around the middle of May for.landscaping petunias. I use wave petunias for landscaping.  I plant silver tidal waves in front of the back deck with classic purple waves in front of them.  In another place I mix pink and blue waves.  I plant them a couple feet apart.  Some say that is too close and plant them 3 feet apart.  I plant pink and purple shock waves in the boxes that sit in front of the barn.  The classic waves grow too long for those boxes.  As you might guess, I love petunias.  So do the hummingbirds.  I use  some sumo petunias too.  One sumo petunia plant will fill a twelve inch hanging pot.  Bekah sells so many petunias that  even though she starts them from seed she buys boxes of plugs.  There isn't room in the house to start all she needs.  Ten boxes of plugs and cuttings will arrive the first of March.  Petunias, pansies and many other flowers.  The pansies and violas she starts from seed have all germinated. They will be transplanted into six packs as when the greenhouse warms up.  13 days until the fires are started.
