Darel didn’t spend too much time in his greenhouse chair, it was a quiet day without very many customers.  In the evening we went to town for soaker hoses and came back empty handed.  I’d gone online with Lowes and they were in stock.  When I got home I found an e-mail telling me they were sorry they were sold out and wouldn’t have any until the 9th.  Should have checked my computer again before I went in.  Darel didn’t mind the ride and he likes a Big Mac for supper.  I could think fo lots of things to do beside go to Bangor.
I’m doing laundry and showering before I go turn on soakers hoses.   The well gets a rest mid day and over night.  Some nights I leave a hose trickling into the the pond.  The constant breezes evaporate the pond water.
Most of the flowers for bouquets are planted.  I still have some of my flowers to plant.  Some of them will be used for cut flowers too. Today we’ll plant cucumbers, we’ll be planting vegetables every day for awhile.  Soaking them as we go.
We have very few sweet peppers and tomato plants left for sale.  Quite a few hot peppers, lots of cole crops and squash.  Quite a few cucumbers but I’m starting more today.  A lot of people had plants get frosted .
An indigo bunting was at the feeders yesterday.  I filled the humming bird feeders yesterday morning and I had to fill them again before i went to Bangor. The hummingbird feeders are small so that they always have clean feeders and fresh food.  No mold allowed!  Lots of birds in the kitchen garden.   Birds like the little maple syrup pan pond with the bubbler.
     Have a good day, Sally
