The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been and the friends we've made.

Sunny Sunday with a NW breeze, a high of 77 and a low of 55. Sunny Monday with a NW breeze, a high of 81 and a low of 58. Partly cloudy Tuesday with a stiff SSW breeze, a high of 85 and a low of 64. Starting Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon we'll have scattered thunderstorms with SW breezes, highs about 81 and lows in the low sixties. Next weekend will be sunny but cooler with WNW breezes, highs in the upper seventies and lows bout 57. Pleasant the week of August 12th with WNW breezes, highs in the upper seventies and lows in the upper fifties.
Darel had a pleasant day yesterday. In the evening we went to Bangor. Besides diesel I got a 2x8 white trellis to put beside my Jackmani clematis. iI has outgrown the trellis it is on. I got another half trellis to put up for a red rambling rose I want to plant. And a 4x8 plains wood one to replace the one between the barn and generator shed. I put that one up in 2004 and planted a Earnest Markham clematis that bloomed every year until last year when it just seemed to disappear. It was always so beautiful I've decided to plant another there. i have many beautiful clematis to choose from but that color went perfectly with the classic purple wave I hang off the barn eves.
I also bought a new push broom. If the ground cover in the display area isn't swept it gets tiny pockets of dirt on it that sprout weeds. Even sweeping i get weeds!
Cucumbers were 4 for a dollar for a little while. Until i realized the big cooler was freezing them. We were able to salvage some for pickles, Heather's pigs will enjoy the rest. Time I had planned to spend weeding I spent sorting cucumbers. Sad. Cucumbers are back to 3 for a dollar for a few more pickings.
Blueberries need to be picked again today. We are blessed with a good year, there is always something that needs to be harvested. And today is another lovely summer day with a breeze to make the heat ok. Enjoy your day, Sally
