We went to church yesterday.  Darel didn't need any help getting in the truck or standing after sitting through the service.  We were served Communion in our seats.
No bugs yesterday afternoon meant a pleasant day digging grass and weeds out of the garden section I call Mitch's garden.  i was able to get it all planted before supper.  Went out to mulch and clean up. after supper, the midges and mosquitos said , "Go clean your house".  Good thing, still have more cleaning to do this morning so I can start the week with a somewhat clean house.  After the sun drives away the bugs I'll finish mulching.
A day without watering was nice.  Today I'll set up the  dosatron so everything gets fertilizer water.  I use a natural liquid fertiziler.  We will dump the vegetable plants left, mostly zucchini and summer squash.  Some flowers have gone by.  They will be dumped or cut back.  Pansies will be cut back.  They don't care for the heat but will come back to brighten fall gardens up until it freezes hard.  I picked strawberries before the rain Saturday, the last picking.  Heather picked hers too.  There is still a quart in the cooler.
Doug mowed hay all day yesterday.  Lots of hay will be made this week.
      Have a good day, Sally
