Clouds, gentle north breeze and 69 degrees,  Thunderstorms starting about noon today, lasting until about midnight tonight with a SW breeze, a high of 86 and a low of 65.  Sunny tomorrow with a NNW breeze, a high of 83 and a low of 56.  Sunny Friday with a west breeze, a high of 84 and a low of 59.  Possible afternoon thunderstorms Saturday with a SW breeze, a high of 84 and a low of 59.  Sunny Sunday and Monday with a NW breeze, a high of 79 and a low of 56.  Possible afternoon showers Tuesday with a SSW breeze, a high of 80 and a low of 61.  Scattered thunderstorms next Wednesday with a SSW breeze, a high of 79 and a low of 62.  Possible showers next Thursday and next Friday morning with  WSW breezes, highs of 80 and lows about 60;  Pleasant the weekend of the 10th and 11th with NW breezes, highs about 79 and lows of 57   

     Darel had a good day yesterday.  Good enough so he was able to enjoy a mid day visit from a friend.  he left the air conditioned front room for the air conditioned truck for a ride to the Creamery in the evening.  It was 96 degrees when we left for the Creamery.

      I picked two quarts of raspberries yesterday and Tamerra pick some.  I probably won't try to pick more.  Started on the blue berries.  they were never cleaned up and mulch last fall so I'm trying to do three or four plants a day as I go out to pick.  I'm selling some blue berries this year.  I need to pick the rest of the patch before the storms come.

      I picked cucumbers yesterday, today before the storms come I need to pick more as well as zucchini and yellow squash.  I had two people come yesterday hoping i had some plants sitting in a corner somewhere, theirs had been eaten by wood chucks.

      After the bees went to the hive last night Nicole sprayed her potatoes for potato beetles.  She was kind enough to spray mine too.  I was thankful, i have to carry the sprayer.  With my metal shouter I don't think I should use it like a backpack like it is meant to be used.  The certified organic spray lasts six hours so it will be gone by the time the bees get up this morning.  The goal is for the beetles to die during those six hours.

      A pair of gold finches joined the purple finch at the newly filled feeders.  Will they bring friends today?  I must have a hundred raspberry bee balm blooms  and still the humming birds chase each other.  

      i didn't have a fire in the cook range yesterday.  I started it he minute I got up, hopefully there is enough warm water for a shower.  I want to get the ice changed in the coolers so I can start picking.  Have a good day, Sally
