Darel had another very good day yesterday.  A good visit with Raymond Freeman and we went to Rachael's game in the afternoon.  Central won and the game was early enough so Sommer had time to get home before the snow.
It has been a long night.  Doug and Nicole got to Newark form Florida, not a vacation, they went to her father's funeral.  In Newark their flight was canceled.  Since there were only 12 passengers the airline wasn't too concerned about getting them out.  They rented a truck and headed home.  Nicole has been good about keeping me posted.  They are close to Bangor now where they will have to dig their truck out at the airport.  The snowplow went by here about five-thirty.  Praying other towns have plowed too and that they stay alert.
Our church was canceled last night.  Gilbert is planning to swing through with the plow between eight and nine for me to take hot water out to the hens and collect the eggs.  Most of them will be laid by then.  At these temperatures they will need hot water again about noon.  I'm planning to spend the day working on my winter letter.  If the power goes off we can stuff envelopes.
A month from today I'll be starting the greenhouse fires.  Two months from today it will be the first day of spring.  The days are getting longer.   Gilbert says he can see well enough to be hauling wood out of the woods at five.  Regardless of your weather there will something today to be grateful for, Sally
