Darel had a good day yesterday.  Wednesday is lunch at church and a visit from the chaplain in the afternoon  which makes for a nice day.  And last night we went to the Creamery to get vegetables for the stand from Heather and Mike.
I did a little of everything yesterday.  Worked in  flowers gardens, finished weeding the onions, checked to see if the grapes are ripe-they aren't.  Why we were at the church lunch Debbie slipped the citronella geranium.  Late this fall I'll put the plants down cellar until spring.  It is one of the plants people put around their patio or picnic table to repel black flies and mosquitoes.  I have it and other scented geraniums in the house during winter  for natural air freshening scents.
I am surprised at the number of birds I have at the feeders.  I'm wondering if there is a poor crop of wild seeds due to the drought.  I haven't noticed any lack of weeds trying to grow and set seed in my gardens!
   Have a good day, Sally
