Darel had a pleasant day yesterday.  Too quiet I guess, I thought we were spending the evening at home when he came out of the air conditioned front room, shies and sweat shirt on, "I'm tired of that room, can we go to the Creamery."  We went.
An exciting day on the home front.  Keith called and said he and Kevin will be here October 2ed, leaving Monday, the 8th.  A little later I got a text from Kevin saying Christy is coming with them.  I stopped harvesting and let family and friends know so they can save the weekend of the 6th and 7th to be here at the farm.  Open house Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  Everyone is invited to go to church with Darel and I Sunday morning.
The nursery was very quiet.  When she wasn't watering Tamarra was cutting back spring and early summer blooming perennials , getting them ready for their winter's sleep.  Some may still get planted but it is time for roots to grow.  I picked what is probably the last of the cucumbers.  The peppers are big and beautiful  I picked a bushel and there is another bushel waiting to be picked.  I found some ripe tomatoes.
Back to clean up for me today.  I'm going to try to put some of the gravel the woodchuck dug out in the lilac display back in the holes.  I'll haul the rest out to the driveway.
    Have a good day, Sally
