When your past calls, if it doesn't make you smile don't answer. It has nothing new to say.

Darel's pulse was very high in the morning, very low in the evening. He wanted the pellet stove off in the morning but was glad for its quick heat in the evening. The nurse and the chaplain both visited and his sons stopped by.
All the perennials are uncovered with the plastic and the blankets put away. then Andrew and i got tow out last night to cover the pansies in case there was some snow flakes or sleet. It is looking like we will be able to fold them up and put them away with out them even getting a rain drop on them. At two when I put wood on the fires it was 33 so I turned on the the electric heaters and the propane heater. Just to be safe.
Most of our days are spent pruning and moving plants to the cold frame. Yesterday we transplanted marigolds to refil the space we made in the greenhouse. Michael mulched the garlic. it is just peeping out of the ground. Today we will transplant more perennials. I'd like to get all the ones I started potted up before the ones I'm buying start coming in next week.
Still no killdeer. I'm wondering if they ran into the snow storms on their way up and didn't make it.
Have a good day, Sally
