Darel had a comfortable day yesterday. Boring, perhaps he can get outside today.  Or we can do something this evening.
We are very proud of our college girls.  Lexi's instructor has nominated her for most outstanding student in her class.  On Sunday Gilbert and barbie are going to Tiffany's class awards banquet because she has won the UMPI "Sprit" award for her class.  Spirit award is mostly leadership and work ethic.
Another day of pruning, cleaning up and moving flowers to the cold frames.  Marigolds were transplanted along with rhubarb and some other odds and ends.  Onion sets and strawberries came yesterday.  I'm letting the supplier know I'm not happy.  On good years they come the last week in April.  They are wrapped in a quilt in the woodshed.  We'll heel the strawberries in Monday.  Plant the onions!!  There are still a few patches of snow on the garden where there were drifts.  On a good note the ice went out of the firepond during the night.
We got chicks yesterday.  A dozen pullets.  They are all comfy in their brooder.
Looking forward to a good day, hoping yours is too.  Sally
