4/21/18
No matter how dark it gets the sun always rises.

Mostly sunny, 33 degrees, with a west breeze.  50 degrees, a NW wind today, dropping to 31 tonight.  Sunny with a NW breeze tomorrow, a high of 55 and a low of 31.
Sunny and 63 Monday with a WNW breeze, dropping to 35 Monday night.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a stiff SW breeze, a high of 68 and a low of 43.  Showers Wednesday with a brisk SW breeze, a high of 56 and a low of 45.  Cloudy Thursday with a brisk NNE breeze, a high of 53 and a low of 444.  Cloudy Friday with a west breeze, a high of 69 and a low of 44.   PM showers next Saturday with a stiff south breeze, a high of 59 and a low of 41.  Pleasant the last of April and first week in May with highs in the upper fifties and lows in the upper thirties.
Darel had a good day yesterday, we went to town in the afternoon.  He had a big whopper, I came home and had turkey pie.  Turkey pie has joined fried chicken, sub sandwiches and a host of other things he used to like that don't taste good to him anymore.
Except for an occasional plant I've pruned and cleaned up all the plants that needed it.  Now i can start doing other things.  And be thankful that all the flowers are healthy and doing well.
We covered the pansies for five minutes of snow flurries. Better safe than sorry. The covers are now folded and put away for the year!  At three am i started the propane heater in the hoop house.  Just to be sure the flowers didn't get chilled.
Yesterday I got notice the potatoes will arrive Monday.  Some people still have snow drifts on their garden spots!  I also got a notice from the nursery that they had a foot of snow last week and shipping dates might be affected.  At five thirty I got an email saying the truck with my order on was leaving Minnesota and will be here some time on Monday.  It was scheduled to leave Monday or Tuesday. I guess a lot of nurseries scheduled to get delivery last week got snow and couldn't accept delivery.  My compost is still under snow!  I seem to be one one "fire" out just as another flares up!  At least we weren't one of the nurseries that got a foot or more of snow!
    Have a good day, Sally
