4/13/18
One kind word can change someone's day.

Clouds, fog, calm, and 40 degrees.  Some breaks of sun today with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 57, dropping to 36 tonight.  Cloudy tomorrow with a stiff north breeze, a high of 39 and a low of 20.  Cloudy Sunday with a NNE breeze, a high of 37 and a low of 28.  A wintery mix to a cold rain Monday as the tropical air to the south of us tries but doesn't quite make it.  An east wind with a high of 39, a low of 38.  Showers Tuesday with a stiff south breeze, a high of 46 and a low of 34.  Cloudy Wednesday with a stiff west breeze, a high of 51 and a low of 32.  Showers Thursday with a north breeze, a high of 47 and a low of 34.  Mostly cloudy next Friday with a stiff NW breeze, a high of 50 and a low of 33.  Partly cloudy next Saturday with a NW wind, a high of 53 and a low of 33.  Mostly sunny Sunday, April 22ed, with a WNW breeze, a high of 57 and a low of 35.  Pleasant the rest of the week with quite a few clouds and showers but highs in the mid fifties and lows in the high thirties.
Darel was battling a cold yesterday but seems better this morning.  We had a very pleasant evening, my sister bought supper, friends joined us for good food and good visiting.
A very busy day yesterday.  I found some plants headed downhill from crowding.  I got them all cleaned up and moved to get more air.  Some of them will be moved again Tuesday as the warmer temperatures allow us to move plants into the other cold frames and the hoop house.  But moving them apart couldn't wait.  I was beat last night but i think the plants will all be fine.
Last night was warm enough so that I didn't need to set the alarm to put wood on the fires I just put wood on when i woke up.  So though I'm a little stiff and sore this morning I've pretty much recovered.  I'm thankful I was able to get so much done.  Sunday afternoon Debbie is coming to help me move the packs of waves into their cold frame.  I don't usually make plans for work on Sunday but Monday looks bad for moving anything.  Big Andrew hung several wave baskets in the back room so the hanging baskets have plenty of room.
Last night's warm temperature and .46 inches of rain got rid of lots os sow but there is still plenty around.  The back deck isn't all bare yet.  There are just patches of snow left in the display area.  I think they will be gone by Tuesday when we put the pansies out.
      Have a good day, Sally
