1/1/18
This year may your troubles be less and your Blessings be more.  May nothing but happiness come through your door.

Clear, minus 10 with a NW breeze.  Sunny today with 10-15 mph NW breezes, a high of 2 and a low of -13.  Mostly sunny tomorrow with a west breeze, a high of 6 and a low of - 6.  Sunny Wednesday with a gentle south breeze, a high of 9 and a low of 4.  Snow starting Thursday afternoon, 3-6 inches of snow Thursday night, with strong north winds, a high of 25 and a low of 14.  Some snow showers Friday with strong WNW winds, a high of 16, dropping to minus 13 Friday night.  Cloudy Saturday, a little less WNW wind, a high of minus 4 and a low of -16.  Sunny next Sunday with a WNW breeze, a high of -2 and a low of -9.  Snow showers next Monday afternoon into Tuesday with temperatures more seasonable for the week. More snow forecast the weekend of the 13th.
A quiet day yesterday, for now Darel is agreeing we should stay home when it is this cold.  Ray Bickmore came over and watched the game with Darel.  Darel watched football all day but "the game" means the Patriots.
There is ice built up on the greenhouse.  It can't stay there and get Thursday's snow added to it.  The attack plan is for me to start the fires about 4:30 Wednesday morning.  And plug in the tractor.  A lot of the snow and ice on the west side can be bucketed.  There will be a lot of shoveling on the east.  The plan is that with heat inside and snow away from the bottom the ice will slide off with just a little nudging from the roof rake.  Little Andrew is coming down when he gets home from work  and clear the little greenhouse.  He starts at 4am so he get home why there is daylight.
Brad Paisley says today is the first page of a 365 book, write a good one.   I plan to and hope your is good too.  Keep warm, Sally
