112/14/17
A single smile can travel round the world. So if you feel a smile begin don't leave it undetected.   Start an epidemic.  Get the world infected.

Clear, 9 degrees with a light SW breeze.   Some clouds today with a brisk west breeze, a high of 18 and a low of 4 tonight.  Sunny tomorrow with a WSW breeze, a high of 19 and a low of 10.  Some clouds Saturday with a NW breeze, a high of 26 and a low of 6.  Sunny Sunday with a NW breeze, a high of 17 and a low of 2.  Snow showers Monday morning won't amount to much.  A light north breeze, a high of 22 and a low of 16.  A light west breeze with Tuesday with an inch or so of snow, a high of 29 and a low of 21.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a strong WNW breeze, a high of 29 and a low of 8. Sunny Thursday, the first day of winter.  A day I look forward to because the days start getting longer.  Only a little at a time but headed in the right direction.  There will be a brisk WNW breeze with a high of 16 and a low of 6.  Cloudy next Friday with a WSW breeze, a high of 27 and a low of 17.  Some clouds Saturday, the 23rd, with a NW breeze, a high of 23 and a low of 8.  Snow showers Christmas Eve Day and Christmas Day, perhaps enough to plow.  There will be light NW breeze, highs about 21 and lows about 11.  Snows off and on for the week after Christmas.
Darel felt good yesterday. The swelling in his feet and legs was way down.  The plans for a dinner at church fell through because it was canceled.  He did have lots of company so that helped pass the time.
The light bulbs for the Village came in so now it is lit up.  That was all I did for Christmas. I had an afternoon doctor's appointment.   The rest of the day was spent working on my Paris Farmer's Union order.  I had to get it in for my early order discount.  I get Coast of Maine products, other compost and mulch, plastic, all kinds of supplies from Paris Farmer's Union.
We had lots of birds yesterday.  I threw seeds on the ground under the rose and winterberry bushes.  Juncos very much prefer eating off the ground.  I'm back in the routine of taking hot water out to the hens about three times a day.
      Have a good day, Sally
