1/20/17
The time to be happy is now:  the place to be happy is here:  the way to be happy is to make others so.

Some clouds, 26 degrees.  It might warm up a few degrees to 30, west winds will make it seem colder, dropping to 21 tonight with a WSW wind.  Sunny tomorrow, SSW winds, a high of 46 with a low of 34.   Rain Wednesday with a west breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 22.  Sunny thanksgiving Day with a west breeze, a high of 33 and a low of 27.  Partly cloudy Friday with a brisk WNW breeze, a high of 36 and a low of 24.  Showers Saturday with a SSW breeze, a high of 44 and a low of 29.  Snow showers Sunday morning with a brisk west breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 17.  Sunny next Sunday with a strong WNW breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 17.  AM clouds/PM sun next Tuesday with strong WNW breezes, a high of 31 and a low of 18. Pleasant the next week with NW breezes, highs in the mid to upper thirties and lows in the twenties.
.77 inches of rain yesterday.  We didn't try to go to church, we'd have gotten wet!  We had a quiet restful day.  Mike made Darel some pea soup.  Gilbert came down and watched the Patriot's game with Darel.
Didn't see the chickadees yesterday but the finches came back for awhile in the morning.  The niger seed feeders are clean but i'm not filling them until the finches are here a lot.  Maybe after Wednesday's rain passes I'll put some seeds in the sock feeders.
The rain stopped in time for me to get plants in place for winter.  I still have plants in the greenhouse waiting to be put in larger pots.  I did some picking up but I still have a huge pile of returns to sort.  i know why some greenhouses don't take back pots.  But plastic is made from oil, a nonrenewable resource.  It doesn't seem right to not reuse as much of it as possible.
     Have a good day, Sally
