Failure isn't fatal but failure to change might be.

Clear, 37 degrees with a light NW breeze.  Sunny today with a NW breeze, a high of 50 and a low of 31.  Cloudy tomorrow with a brisk SE breeze, a high of 52 and a low of 49.  Rain Monday, steady in the afternoon, with a SSW wind, a high of 63 and a low of 37.  Sunny Tuesday with a NW breeze, a high of 47 and a low of 31.  Partly cloudy Wednesday with a NW breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 28.  Sunny Thursday with a SSW breeze, a high of 47 and a low of 29.  Partly cloudy Friday with NW winds, a high of 42 and a low of 23.  Sunny next Saturday with strong WNW breezes, a high of 40 and a low of 28.  Cloudy next Sunday with a south breeze, a high of 45 and a low of 34.  The week of November 13th we'll see showers nearly every day with highs in the upper forties and lows in the mid thirties.
Yesterday was a quiet day.  Darel would say too quiet, we didn't go anyplace.
My sister put out two live traps and got two skunks.  I'm scared of jinxing us if I say we haven't seem any since Doug's dog got that large one.  Just a few little brown birds and some wood peckers.
I sent my flower plug order in.  I'll be starting the greenhouse February 22 with plants arriving the 22ed or 23rd.  A  week or so later than I used to but not as late as last year.  That didn't work out very well.  Now i have to get outside and do all the odds and ends that need to be done to be ready in the spring.  The man who works for Doug some is coming Monday.  The kid I've had working the last few weeks was good help when he was here but has lots of reasons not to be here when he has money in his pocket.  And I think deer season affects him.
i finally got ketchup made yesterday.  I have enough tomatoes left to make a couple more batches.  We don't use much ketchup when we are buying it but use quite a bit when I make it.  Only some apples left in the garage.  Now there is room to get a load of pellets for the pellet stove.
Even with the wind storm my flowers are looking pretty but it is time to empty the planters and boxes.  A friend bought a big old house with lots of windows.  She is going to try to keep the fuchsias over.  I'm going to bring in one purple wave.  Just haven't the heart to dump it.  The fourth of November and we still have impatiens!  I sure hope this late fall doesn't meant next spring is late.
      Have a good day, Sally
