Life is not about being rich, popular, highly educated or perfect, it is about being kind, real and humble.

After lots of napping yesterday to make up for a long day Thursday Darel was more than ready to go sit on the deer stand.  for a change I didn't nap because his eyes drifted shut a few times.  Not after I spotted a deer though.  We didn't get to see all of them but we think they were the group of does and lambs little Mike has been seeing.  Not only did we get to see some deer but the sunset was beautiful.
I pretty much finished my Christmas shopping yesterday.  Now to do the wrapping when it comes in.  Lexi came up and did lots of hers too.  Between college full time and working full time she doesn't have much time to shop.  I still have to shop for Santa.  Tradition says he brings everyone a flashlight but he likes to bring a little  something special for the little ones.
The plan is to go get family Christmas trees shortly after lunch and be back to sit on the deer stand.  I'm picking up some junk trees for Heather to make a windbreak for her birds and two to put  for a wind break around my bird waterer.  Yesterday there was a circle of finches drinking and one female cardinal.  First I've seen a cardinal this winter.
       Have a good day, Sally
