We had a good day with family.  I was glad when Darel decided to take a nap instead of going deer hunting.
The turkey took forever to cook so the first batch of rolls rose to much.  But the turkey was perfect and the rolls got eaten.  Lots of pie left so i'm hoping people stop for pie today.  Gilbert and family had Thanksgiving with Barbie's family in St. Albans.  Gilbert and the girls came down for leftovers last night but said they were all pied out.  Rachael did manage to eat some lemon meringue.  The filling was a deep yellow because eating Brussel sprouts has made the egg yolks a very deep yellow.
I finished the day with some Christmas shopping    I am so glad there is a week between Thanksgiving and the first Sunday in Advent.  A week to get up Christmas decorations instead of a weekend! Especially since I'm still getting greenhouse things put away.   Today i'll put the fall decorations away before I get out Christmas.  Last years heavy snow damaged the roof on the stable.  Repairing that will come first.
      Have a good day, Sally
