A pleasant day yesterday. Darel and I watched Rachael's team win their soccer play off in the afternoon.
The morning glories and flowers under the kitchen window are gone, the north side of the house is banked. And more cement blocks are laid in the corner of the house and garage on the south side in hopes of deterring skunks. The cement blocks in the north corner haven't been bothered.
The old soil is out of the hoop house and new soil put in. Now I'm going to lay newspapers and cover them with hay. Next spring i'll just make a hole and plant tomatoes. Why I'm at it I'll bank the outside walls. Some sunny day this winter I'll put up new string for the tomatoes. Brian did it for me this year. I never told him the baling twine all had to be doubled. So the weight of the plants broke the twine.
All the flies Darel and I swatted yesterday and we are still swatting them this morning!
The storm is here with the wind slamming the rain into the windows. A good day to clean house and work on next springs orders. Have a good day. Sally
