Darel had a quiet day yesterday.  He did some more with the walker but had to slow down on the leg strengthening exercises because his knee was bothering him, red and swollen.  The knee that made him cut back on walking in the first place. The wind was whipping dust around the yard so much a wheel chair ride wasn't appealing.
Most of yesterday was spent canning pears and plums.  More today.  Darel eats them out of the jar, I use them in my morning smoothie.  The wind took apples off the apple tree so I will have to start doing applesauce too.
Lots of buttercup squash left yesterday so picking more squash is first on the agenda this morning.  Then tomatoes.  I'm still selling all the tomatoes.  I need to get the fruit done before i do tomatoes.  I have quite a few tomatoes left from last year.  All I'm going to do is sauce and ketchup.  Heather has been making barbecue sauce that they are very pleased with.
Some of the hummingbirds have left, the rest will be gone in a day or so.  The swallows are gone.
     Have a good day, Sally
