Music can cure things medication never will.

Family and Friends who are like family joined us for a cookout yesterday. Darel was able to join us the entire time in his wheelchair. Old stories, new stories, lots of visiting and bantering back and forth made for a great day. Nicole put all the food away and cleaned up. Enough leftovers fro all who will be here this evening.
I never got to the blueberries or onions. The thunderstorms are supposed to hold off long enough for me to pull onions and pick blueberries this morning. Bubble gum pink and David phlox plants came in yesterday. Very late in the season to be getting them but I didn't cancel them because they have been so hard to get. Partly because they are so popular and partly because i only deal with nurseries who don't use insecticides that remain in the plant. Phlox are popular with pollinators. Even if the insecticide residue doesn't kill the bees and other pollinators outright it damages their immune system. Jordn potted them. They are nice looking plants. They are a back order from spring of 2016.
I think I'm going to smother out the Bishop's weed ground cover I have why I've lots of mulch hay available. It isn't unattractive but it is invasive. It will grow anywhere and has choked out the hosta under the chestnut tree. And I fight it with the peonies. Some as appeared out by the pond too and is after the phlox and bee balm..
Have a good day, Sally
