Darel had another quiet day yesterday. We believe it has been several days since he he has had a TIA or stroke. He was even able to talk o the phone for a half hour!
I had a very pleasant afternoon. A couple of customers who have become friends stopped by. They stayed and visited a few hours. Why we were visiting we weeded and pruned an entire row of perennials. A breeze was blowing, the sun was shinning, it was warm and it was so nice to relax and visit. Since we were being productive I wasn't thinking of what I should be doing in the back of my mind. Darel rang me once. We have the phone set so he touches four on the landline phone and it rings my cell phone if he needs anything. Very convenient. I did find some nettles sneaking in the path. I'll go after them this morning with leather gloves on.
Darel's nuthatches and woodpeckers have about cleaned out their suet feeder. He keeps track of those feeders! The newest batch of fledglings are eating less sunflowers seeds. I always like thinking that I'm helping them get off to a good start. But it is always reassuring when they start eating their natural food too. There are still plenty of birds at the feeders. It is so pretty out the kitchen window mornings with the dark blue morning glories, the bright yellow sunflowers and the goldfinches flitting among them. Most of the blackbirds have left.
I have some watering to do today even though Rachael has been watering all week. I am taking her to catch the soccer team bus to go to a round robin of soccer games today. Her team has been doing very well. Barbie and Gilbert are helping the CNA take care of Darel this morning.
Have a good day, Sally
