We give thanks for another day of Grace and Blessing.

Some clouds tomorrow with a high of 71, a brisk NW breeze and a low of 48. Mostly cloudy Saturday with a NNW breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 51. Partly cloudy Sunday with a NE breeze, a high of 73 and a low of 50. Pleasant Monday through next Sunday with mostly SW breezes, highs in the mid to upper seventies and lows in the mid fifties. A 40% chance of scattered thunderstorms Labor Day with a high of 76 and a low of 56. Pleasant the rest of the week with highs in the low seventies and lows in the low fifties.
Another quiet day. The day was so quiet I read to Darel for quite awhile. Visitors made the afternoon go by quickly. I spent the afternoon working on a flower garden that was getting overrun with grass and weeds. One of Darel's visitors yesterday was the Hospice Chaplain. She used to be a teacher at Higgins Institute, a Bible college. She reads the Bible and than talks about the passage. Darel enjoys her teaching so much I'm tempted to sit in. But it is so nice to work out in the flowers knowing he isn't laying there bored.
Andrew and Gayle are here getting Darel ready for the day. We are so blessed to have strong sons and grandsons who are willing to take turns helping keep Darel comfortable. Rachael is here watering. She is trying to make sure everything is watered well to get through until Monday with the cooler temperatures. I'll check the mums.
I cleaned house yesterday. Today I'll clean the vegetable stand and pick vegetables. I put fresh ice in the coolers everyday. I'm going to check winter squash and pumpkins, hoping I'll be surprised by the number of pumpkins under the leaves. There are lots of plums this year. I'm thinking plum butter? I've never made it so I'm not sure how much work it is.
Have a good day, Sally
