Darel had a good day yesterday. Andrew and Gayle took him for a long ride. It made a nice break in the day. He doesn't watch TV anymore, just can't seem to focus and doesn't enjoy it. He used to do lots of visiting on the phone with friends but now finds talking on the phone very hard. We are very thankful that he can still talk as well as he does. There have been periods after he has had a stroke that hi has lost his ability to speak but so far he has regained it.
Rachael and i spent a lot of time on mums yesterday. Moving them around so they wouldn't be crowed, giving some of them some iron and making sure they all had water. Most of the day someone was watering. the tenth of an inch we got in the thunderstorm last night didn't do much. just enough so lots of farmers got hay ready to bale wet.
The critter digging a hole under the Quonset hut garage had dug out the hole again. Doug had filled it in. So I cut large armful of peppermint and stuffed it in the hole. I've been told animals dislike peppermint so much it will leave. I know several people come get mint in the fall to put in their campers over winter to repel mice. Figured it was worth a try. What ever it is it sure can move some dirt and rocks.
Have a good day, Sally
