7/19/17
Life is made of two dates and a dash.  Make the most of the dash.

Fog, a  is lifting gentle west breeze and 66 degrees.  Can the forecast for the next five days possibly hold true?   Dry with mostly NW breezes, highs in the mid eighties until Sunday when the high is 80 with a south breeze.  The humidity drops a little each day.  Hay days!  Showers Monday and Tuesday with ENE breezes.  Monday's high will be 69 with a low of 57.  Tuesday's high is 74 with a low of 56.  Then five more hay days are forecast.  A north breeze next Wednesday with partly cloudy skies,  a high of 73 and a low of 56.  Mostly SW breezes the next four days with highs about 80 and lows about 60.  Showers the 31st and the 1st with highs of 79 and lows of 60.
Darel has frequent tia's and occasionally a stroke.  So far he always recovers from the strokes, sometimes in an hour, sometimes it takes a day or so.  In general he is in good spirits and comfortable.  He looks forward to his daily wheelchair ride and visitors.   His wheelchair was a little more interesting yesterday than usual.  Nicole and I were standing in the garage door when a skunk hurried by, we could have kicked it if we were so inclined.  It hurried to the corner of the house and started digging under the cement block Jordn had put over the hole dug by him or another skunk.  Doug had Darel out for a ride, he got his 22 out of the truck and ended the skunk's  moving in.  I was so glad, I did not want another skunk under the house!  By the time Doug shot him he had already dug most of the way under the cement block.
Yesterday I picked raspberries and blueberries.  with the heat there will be berry picking every day.  and zucchini and summer squash.  Hopefully cucumbers soon.  We'll water perennials and shrubs today, than we'll be running the soakers hoses in the garden.  The annual and herbs we have left will need watered every day.  I'm so glad to see some hay days I'm not complaining.  I still want to plant more flowers and there are always weeds!
Today I'm going to go get a hair cut and pick up chicken feed.  That will be different, I've stayed home except when I went to the doctor's.  Lexi and Justin will be here..
      Have a good day, Sally
