We are giving thanks that Kaden's scans show he is cancer free.  No more treatments.  He will have follow up scans.  He and Sally Jo are happy to get on with life.
Some of our songbirds only raise one family.  After the fledglings leave the nest they go where there is plenty of food, gradually flocking together and starting south in July.  Orioles, rose breasted grosbeaks, bobolinks, red winged blackbirds are some who leave mid summer.  Tree swallows seem to leave at the end of the month. Our barn swallows hatch out at least two broods.  I'm thinking about when they leave because it feels like fall this morning.  Where is summer?
No black flies will make today a pleasant day in the gardens.  I'll start out wearing a sweatshirt.  May your day be blessed, Sally
