Still planting cool weather crops. If we gamble with warm loving crops they will be wrapped in remay. It will be June before it is warm enough for tomatoes, peppers, squash or cucumbers to be happy. I don't see any more frosts, just cool temperatures that feel even cooler because of the NW breezes.
Those NW breezes will keep the soil from getting warm unless we cover it with black plastic. We have not figured out a way to avoid using black plastic. We remind ourselves that those breezes help keep down the number of blackflies.
The solar light we put on the flag pose didn't work when we got it out. The new one came and was charged. We'll have the flag up for Memorial Day. Hopefully we can have the yard all spiffed up for the day we honor those who gave all for us.
May your day be blessed, Sally
