Clear, calm, 3 degrees.  Sun and clouds today, a strong NW breeze, high 19.  Becoming cloudy tonight, a brisk WNW breeze, low 1.  Morning clouds tomorrow/afternoon sun.  A stiff WNW breeze, high 12, low 0.  Sunshine Saturday, a NW breeze, high 20, low -1.  Cloudy Sunday, a strong NNE breeze, high 24, low 17.  Snow showers Sunday night.  Partly cloudy Monday, a strong WNW breeze, high 32, low 14. Sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday, NW breezes.  Tuesday's high 35, low 10.  Wednesday's high 25, low 8.  Partly cloudy next Thursday and Friday, NW breezes, highs about 28, lows about 10.  Partly cloudy Saturday the 7th, high 24, low 3.  Partly cloudy the week of the 8th, highs in the teens to low twenties by the end of the week.  Lows -1 on Sunday, single numbers the rest of the week.

     Our turn at frozen pipes came yesterday.  During the night the light went out in the box that is around where the water pipes come in.   The frost free faucet had to be replaced and another piece of pipe.  They had to carry water from the house for the chickens and Mabel yesterday morning.  By night everything was fixed,

     Our seeds from Johnny's came yesterday.  We got the shipping notice from Seedway, those seeds should be here today.  Seedway is a very old seed company.  When I was a kid, GLF feed stores carried seedway seeds.  GLF feed stores are only a memory but Seedway is still selling seeds.

    I throw seeds at the Christmas tree Jay put in the kitchen garden.  Some birds love going in the tree to eat the seeds that landed on the branches.  

Other birds feed on the ground under the tree, protected from the wind.  The branches around them hide them from predators.  Water pistols have taught the cats that the kitchen garden is off limits.
