10/3/25  Shall we make a new rule this morning?  Always try to be a little kinder than necessary.

A NW breeze tomorrow, high 77, low 47.  A SSW breeze Sunday, high 78, low 53.  Sunshine Monday, a SSW breeze, high 83, low 54. Partly cloudy Tuesday, a stiff SSW breeze, high 80, low 56. Rain Wednesday, a stiff NW breeze, high 62, low 36 .Mostly sunny Thursday, a NNW breeze, high 56, low 31.  Sunshine next Friday, high 63, a brisk SW breeze, low 39.  Sun and some clouds the weekend of the 11th and 12th, NW breezes, highs 63, lows 38.  Partly cloudy the beginning of the week of the 13th, showers Thursday and Friday. Daily highs start in the mid sixties, highs about 58 Thursday and Friday.  Lows about 40.

Yesterday was another pleasant day.  I spent most of the day processing pumpkin and zucchini.  Another experiment making zucchini flour.  I'm not sure there is an easy way. I ordered a milking machine.  Mabel, Bekah's guernsey heifer is due to freshen at the end of the month.  We would have had to order new parts for our old milking machine and we don't have a vacuum pump.  A new portable set up seemed the best choice.  Bekah found my old gem dandy butter churn.  She plugged it in and it seemed ok. We will get some cream and see if it works. It will be too hot to work in the greenhouses the next few days, perfect weather for setting up the barn.
The blue jays have returned!  A few days ago I saw one blue jay.  Apparently he told the other jays there was food here.  I'm making sure I take time to admire the flowers in the kitchen garden.  The sunflowers aren't blooming, just seed heads now.  The hibiscus and morning glories are beautiful.  The delphiniums are reblooming.  The forecast says the end is coming next Thursday.
A lady from the church has taken the geraniums out of the box.  She has the box all cleaned up, ready for us to plant mums in it today. May your day be blessed, Sally
