9/16/25 The haves and have nots can often be traced back to the dids and did nots.

Calm, clear, 50 degrees.  Sunshine today, light NE breeze, high 78.  Mostly clear tonight, low 48. Partly cloudy tomorrow and Thursday, SW breezes, high 78, lows 52 and 56.  Partly cloudy Friday, strong NW breezes, high 67, low 41.  Sunshine Saturday, a NW breeze, high 64, low 37.  Mostly sunny Sunday, a brisk SSW breeze, high 71, low 49.  Partly cloudy Monday, next Tuesday and Wednesday SSW breezes, highs 75, 78 and 74, lows 55.  Mostly sunny next Thursday, brisk NNW breezes, high 73, low 57.  Partly cloudy Friday the 26th through Tuesday the 30th.  Highs around 70, lows 47-45.

The nursery is closed Sunday and Monday, the vegetable stand is self service.  Yesterday morning Jay and Bekah left to run some errands.  Two customers came,  and I was able to help them.  Four fruit trees, a black eyed susan and a mum left. There are five fruit trees left.  120 came last April on the spring order.  Timing is good for fall planting but this fall plants will need to be watered regularly.  This morning the National Weather Service said the Atlantic looks to be setting up for some hurricanes.  Hurricanes might mean some rain for us in a couple of weeks.
Gilbert brought down some bright orange, perfectly shaped large pumpkins for the stand.  He also brought me some pie pumpkins.  They are bright orange but the stems are still very green, no brown lines.  I cooked three but I put the other three in a sunny window to ripen more.  There are still some nice regular jack o 'lantern size pumpkins for sale in the stand.  We are making an easy to water place on the west side of the house to plant miniature pumpkins and gourds next year.  White painting pumpkins and pie pumpkins will go where we cleaned out the bamboo.  We can water there, we've never had a bug problem around the house.  Because we have so many birds?
Heather was busy yesterday putting together fall wreaths.  People love them, not only are they beautiful but they are made of dried flowers so they last.  She is still making fall bouquets of fresh flowers too.
May your day be blessed, Sally
