An early start meant the hay delivery was done before the rain started,  Pouring rain made a pleasant morning because  family stopped by and sat around visiting.
In the afternoon Bekah cleaned the room the chicks, who are now pullets, will live in.  Nest boxes were cleaned and filled with fresh hay.  In the evening Bekah, Heather and Jay moved the birds to their permanent home.  Suddenly their days got longer again because in that room  the "sun" shines 16 hours a day.  We find we have more consistent egg production if we keep a light on 16 hours a day.  I'm guessing we'll get our first eggs next week.   The two extra roosters stayed behind.  Hopefully we'll find someone who wants a beautiful black rooster soon.
Jason and Steve of RJ Heating came and put a new motor and computer board on my new stove.   They believe the other motor was damaged in shipping.  They put a new computer board on for insurance.  If the motor was damaged perhaps the board was too.  It is all ready for cold mornings.  When they left they reminded me they were just down the road if I had any problems.
May your day be blessed, Sally
