The house is pleasant on warm afternoons and comfortable for sleeping but I miss my cook range on chilly mornings like this and the cool damp days.  I am thankful for all the rain we;ve had this month.  The earth needed the moisture, it saved the blueberry crop.    All berries are doing well.  The heat in the forecast will ripen berries and dry hay.  Soon there will be summer squash, zucchini and cucumbers in the stand.  Some day we hope to produce more berries than our families need so we can sell berries too.
Being closed yesterday gave Bekah and Jay a chance to get caught up on other things besides the greenhouse. There won't be any quiet days for a while between getting ready for the wedding this week and full time haying starting next week. Today they will be back working in the gardens.  And loading a load of hay for delivery.  This week they will finish emptying the hay mow, next week they will start filling it with the 2024 crop.  Doug has already baled several round bales for his cows.
May your day be blessed, Sally
