Yesterday was a good day for me. An Amish lady came and cleaned. Mostly places that take standing on a chair or are hard to get to. Everything looks so nice, I hadn't realized how depressing the dust and cobwebs were until they were gone. After I took her home I did the floors.
Jay had customers coming out to the field why he was picking cucumbers. Other customers waited at the stand for Azala to bring them cucumbers. When he came in from the field he only had enough to fill a cooler half full. There are new potatoes and peas on the stand. He pulled some garlic, the rest will wait until next week. He and Heather sold lots of perennials. Heather's flowers are blooming so there are always some bouquets for sale. She takes other bouquets to restaurants. She provides bouquets for special events on order. Bekah spent the morning bumping perennials up into larger pots. In the afternoon she raked hay. Doug round baled it last night for his cows.
Cucumbers and eggs. I have people waiting for me to go to the hen house to see if the hens have laid enough more eggs to make a dozen. I'll be glad when the pullets start laying.
Wednesday night something dragged a fifty pound bag of sunflower seeds onto the back deci and tore it open so they could eat several pounds of sunflower seeds. Must have been a raccoon. yesterday a pair of purple finches brought their hatchlings to the feeders. There have been very few birds at the feeders.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
