6/29/23 When you interrupt, you’ve stopped listening.  Listening is a way to "Love thy neighbor."

Scattered thunderstorms today with a SSE breeze, a high of 75.  Fog tonight with a SSE breeze, a low of 62.  Morning clouds, afternoon sun tomorrow with a SSE breeze, a high of 79, a low of 59.  Cloudy Saturday with a brisk SSE breeze, a high of 76, a low of 63.  Showers Sunday with a SSE breeze, a high of 75, a low of 64.  Some scattered thunderstorms Tuesday with a NNE breeze, a high of 77, a low of 62.   Isolated thunderstorms Wednesday with a north breeze, a high of 81, a low of 65.  Partly cloudy Thursday with a NNE breeze, a high of 84. a low of 67.  PM thunderstorms next Friday with a SE breeze, a high of 85,  a low of 65.   Showers the weekend of the 8th and 9th.  A SE breeze Saturday with a high of 79, low of 63.  An ENE breeze Sunday with a high of 75, a low of 63.  Scattered thunderstorms the week of July 10th with easterly breezes, highs in the upper seventies, lows about 63.

      A foggy day with lots of rainy periods didn't get much checked off the to do list. I filled out an online form excusing me from jury duty because I'm 84.  I used a restoring furniture polish on our maple dining table.  It sees a lot of wear.  I also made another appointment for this morning with my physical therapist as my back is not good.

     Bekah and Jay have had a lot of problems in the nursery this year caused by poor quality soil.  We spent some time making an outline of what Jay was going to discuss with them.  When he called they said they had had other complaints and were going to be in Maine this morning to meet with their sales rep.  They will be coming to take samples of the soil.  The rainiest June in a quarter of a century, beetles and other bugs after the plants, ticks after us were enough of a challenge without adding poor quality soil.  The weeds have grown well but the moist soil has made them easy to pull. There are lots of good bugs like ladybugs in the garden helping control the bad bugs.  Except for cucumber beetles, they are a serious problem.
