I was able to get the stove cleaned and cool so Andrew could change the firebrick. It took me most of the morning.  Andrew opened up the box of firebrick, they had sent the wrong ones.  I wasn't happy.  Not only will I have to let the fire go out and clean out all the ash again but the firebrick really needs to be changed.  Andrew was able to clean the chimney and he cleaned the underneath part of the stove for me.  No creosote this time, just the powery ash that is supposed to be there.I went with Lynne to the Maundy Thursday service in Bangor.  I was too tired, I shouldn't have tried to go.  It is a large church with lots of walking.  Lynne got my meal for me and lent me her arm as we walked back and forth to the two parts of the service.
Bekah spent the day in the greenhouse except for when the school bus came home.   It was Silas' birthday and Heather had a party for him.  Jay took my pickup over to Mike and Heather's and helped Mike clean out his garage.  The realtor left them with a list of things to do before showing the property.
Today will be spent hoping we don't lose power.  With the cold forecast the hose will have to be rolled up. Gilbert's greenhouse is attached to his house.  Today he is going to move the plants in the kitchen  rather than getting up at night to check the temperature.  Heather has just left her plants in the trailer, she'll move them out to the cold frames Monday.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
