Suddenly there are not enough hours in the day! Yesterday was a good day. Lots of plants were moved. The classic purple waves are all pruned, the ones in baskets and the ones in trays. The ones in trays are out in the cold frame. The cuttings from the prunings are in soil sitting on heat mats growing roots. Jay has a truck load of broken pallets ready to go to the dump. The third small greenhouse has the wind torn plastic off, ready for new plastic when the wind dies down. It is the greenhouse we grow our vegetable seedlings in.
Gilbert charged the tractor battery. Soon it will be time to till. Jay took water down to the Mama cows with the tractor, much easier than carrying it! New mothers are kept in a separate pen with their babies for a few days.
Last night I moved the hens to their summer quarters. Today we'll set up the brooder for the new chicks. Bekah and Jay will transplant tomatoes today. I'll plant seeds and catch up in the house. Outside work can wait until tomorrow when the winds die down.
May God bless you on this day, Sally
