Darel's day went very well yesterday.  There was time for a nap after church than a cook out for Father's Day.  Last night he wanted to go to the Creamery.  The same "events" that have affected his circulation so that his feet and legs are always swollen and his oxygen dropping from 97-98 to the low and mid nineties has affected his thought processes.  He knows ice cram should be an occasional treat, no soda and watch the carbs.  The other day he saw a TV add and wanted me to go to the store and get some coke zero.  The add said it was ok, it was zero.    He got a gift card to Countryside for Father's Day so last night he could get a lobster roll instead of ice cream.  I will have to just start saying no, not easy.
I wasn't very interesting company yesterday, took a nap in the chair why family visiting swirled around me.  i did some watering and a little weeding last night.  Enjoyed a phone visit with Keith and with a friend.  It is already a light rain.  I may get some planting in between showers but mostly a clean house day.  Swallows are enjoying the wet, buggy morning!  i have socks of niger feed hanging from the arbor for the finches.  A blue birds often lands on the arbor and leans over to look at the finches on the socks.  Trying to figure out why they get so excited over them?
      Have a good day, Sally
