When I wake in the morning I thank God for all he does to met our needs, then I think of what I need to do for the day.

A heavy dusting of snow this morning.  It is 13 degrees with a NNE wind that won't die down until about 2am tomorrow morning.  today's high will be 18, the low tonight 5.   Sunny tomorrow with a WNW breeze, a high of 23 and a low of 16.  Morning show showers Thursday an Friday won't amount to much.  A SSW breeze Thursday with a high of 35 and a low of 25.  Strong NW breezes Friday with a high of 27 and a low of -4.  Sunny Saturday with a stiff WNW breeze, a high of 11 and a low of 2.  1-3 inches of snow Sunday with a stiff WSW breeze, a high of 30 and a low of 2.  Partly cloudy Monday, a NW breeze with a high of 20 and a low of 0.  Partly cloudy Tuesday with a west breeze, a high of 22 and a low of 8.  Cloudy next Wednesday with a NW breeze, a high of 28 and a low of 11.  Partly cloudy next Thursday with a NW breeze, a high of 22 and a low of 7.  As of today's forecast the snow showers forecast for Friday, the 9th and the next five days aren't expected to add up to very much.  Forecasting that far out is pretty iffy.

     Due to having an "event" early yesterday Darel had a very quiet day yesterday with pulse very low on one side, normal on the other.  He was comfortable, napping a lot.  He wasn't up to going for a ride or talking on the phone when a friend from NC called.  Another "event" during the night gave him a restless night.  He has no memory of these times, though he must have some awareness because at 4:30 he told me he was comfortable.  He is sleeping peacefully now.

      I got my mum order in yesterday-two days before the deadline.  Pretty good for me.  Why I was at it I wrote up the planting plans for whoever pots them up.  I'll have lots of pretty pots of the vibrant fall colors we all love.  I'll also have some large pots and bowls of mixed colors.  Planning them now I could make sure the colors complement each other and bloom at the same time.  When I ordered the mums the Jolly Farmer rep and I went over the box fill.  Always as time get close there is some rearranging.  I have a little room in one of the six boxes coming the first week.  I'll check the discount list to see if there is something I want.  I have to be careful not to overfill the greenhouse. Sometimes there are partial trays of a plant I would like a few of. 

       I  ordered six different scented geraniums to use as mother plants.  I only have one kind now.  A lot of people like to put pots of them on a deck or patio to repel mosquitoes.  I've ordered lemon grass too, the variety that is good for cooking as well as for confusing bugs.
