Don't tell someone to get over it. Help them to get through it.
.19 inches of rain hitting cold roads made fro glare ice. The town sand truck went by at a crawl about 5, just went by again going a little faster, It is 38 degrees with a SW breeze. Partly cloudy today with a west breeze, a high of 43 and a low of 15 tonight. Sunny tomorrow with a NNE breeze, a high of26 and a low of 10. Cloudy Tuesday with a stiff north breeze, a high of 20 and a low of 4. Sunny Wednesday with a WNW breeze, a high of 22 and a low of 11. An inch or so of snow Thursday morning with a SW breeze, a high35 and a low of 21. Another inch or so possible Friday morning with a NW breeze, a high of26 and a low of 3. Partly cloudy Saturday with a NW breeze, a high of 13 and a low of -1. Cloudy next Sunday with a west breeze, a high of 23 and a low of 14. Several snow showers the week of the 5th, some accumulation but not as much as was forecast yesterday. highs in the twenties the beginning of the week, the teens towards the end of the week. Lows in the single numbers.
Darel had another good day yesterday. good enough so he wanted to go to town to get a new DVD player rather than wait until Monday for Amazon to send one.
He said he didn't want to buy online and waste an excuse to go for a ride. By church time the roads should be sanded enough to go to church.
I was still able to get some things done. Carol covers the tables in the greenhouse with cardboard to dry her glads. she has been substitute teaching so much she hasn't had chance to clean up. I got most of the cardboard out yesterday. When the snow goes it will go between the raspberries and asparagus to keep the raspberries from sneaking into the asparagus. Haying weather was so bad last summer that Doug has piles of mulch hay I can put on the cardboard.
Now there is lots a vacuuming to do in the greenhouse. Any dirt is a place for critters to hide that might attack my plants. i have to walk carefully to the greenhouse even though i wear my spiked boots. I carry my shoes to wear in the greenhouse. Maybe Thursday's dusting of snow will help if it is warm enough to be sticky. Gilbert sanded me a path to the hen house.
Have a good day, Sally
