We met our new minister yesterday.  It turns out his wife and daughter will stay in Mass. coming up weekends and holidays.  His daughter is handicapped and in a good school in Mass.  They were unable to find a comparable school here in Maine.  Time will tell how that works out.
I spent part of the afternoon enjoying a telephone visit with a friend.  The rest of the afternoon was spent watering.  I'm sure the strong winds were drying Doug's hay in good shape but the ten minute shower we got last night didn't help the hay.
I have some watering to do this morning and i'm going to try to do some planting.  We are going up to Andrew's for lunch.  Doug put the wood splitter on the tractor for Darel.  he split some wood yesterday and wants to do more today.  Gilbert has invited us up to his camp tonight for fireworks but Darel may be too tired.
Wishing you each a Happy Fourth, Sally
