As expected yesterday was a busy day even though it was chilly.  The rain held off until about three, wind and driving rain held off another hour for last minute customers.
I got phone calls from far away family and visits from nearby family.  Several came by last night with pizza so i had another evening off with lots of visiting.
The night went down hill from there.  I was able to get the coldframe covers weighed down enough so they stayed on but there was no covering the display benches with the wind.  The skies cleared about three am and the temperature dropped.  I had put some tender plants inside, I'll know later if there is damage to any others.  I've always been on in the past but this spring has broken too many records for cold temperatures.  Because of the week of record lows the last of April I'm not selling any shrubs or perennials that aren't showing new growth.  Many people have bought plants from the box stores and nurseries that were all leafed out.  They've been frosted and only time will tell if they come back.
With such a long to do list I'm not sure what I'll be doing today.  Moving the chicks out to their permanent home is on the list.  The greenhouse needs water, that will take a lot less time than it idid a week ago!  We still have lots of transplanting to do.
       Have a good day, Sally
