A beautiful day is dawning. A day of watering. I had several plants that needed some TLC, that is what I did yesterday in between customers. Today someone will be watering all day. With four of us here this morning we should be able to spare one person for watering. Tiffany leaves at one but Heather will be here late this afternoon to do books and run the register. We'll also plant beans and set out celery plants. I'm going to work on putting soaker hoses on everything that is planted.
The bees are making honey, Tim put extra supers on the hives yesterday. Besides the garden pond the bees have a pan of water with rocks in it right by their hive. I have a float valve on it so it never runs dry. Tim has lost three hives to bears. He spent yesterday putting electric fences around his hives. He has a shoot the bear permit if that doesn't work.
Hummingbirds were in the greenhouse yesterday. It was warm enough so I didn't need to shut the back door last night., that is the door they use. It is also warm enough nights so I can take the plastic off the cold frames and leave it off. I'm always glad when I can take opening and closing the cold frames off my to do list.
Enjoy your day, Sally
