The wind died down mid afternoon yesterday, the calm was so appreciated. Everything was sooo wet but the days of high winds has dried things out so much we are having red flag days. Even though the winds were from the north and cold. I celebrated the calm by cleaning up last year's sunflower stalks after I closed. It will be warm enough by eight so i can open everything up before we leave for Sunday School.
The last few nights I could hear the peepers if I listened, last night their chorus was loud enough so I didn't have to listen. I saw a pair of swallows early yesterday morning but they must not of been our swallows as they flew on by. This afternoon I'm hooking up the hoses, the winds have evaporated some of the pond water. I'll get the water lilies out of the cellar and put them in the garden pond. If I have time I'll hook up the pump and filter
I need to make sure the pansies don't need to be watered first thing.. Everything else was watered yesterday. Enjoy your day, Sally.
