Yesterday they shopped for sweetcorn. Everyone's corn seemed to have some to a lot of worms. The last time we got corn from a farmer that sprayed the corn had worms in it. The corn grown by the Amish family we usually get our corn from has the least worms. But it is ripening slowly. Hopefully that means they will still have corn when the Alaska family comes. Personally we would rather have some worms than eat corn sprayed with pesticides.
Yesterday was a red letter day. Maegin found a trailer. It is smaller than she wanted but in good condition. The housing shortage has meant that there aren't many trailers on the market. Doug says the lot will be ready in ten days or so. It is between Darel's and Lexi's. The person living in the trailer is supposed to be out in ten days.
Gilbert is still picking blueberries. Next week's dry heat wave will be the end of them. Four days in the nineties will mean a lull in the peppers. The blossoms don't set on peppers and tomatoes when it is that hot. There are lots of green tomatoes, they will ripen.
May your day be blessed, Sally
