Another pleasant summer day gone. The stand sold out again, they'll be busy this morning harvesting to refill it. Except for Bekah, she'll be watering. Maegin baked last night so the baked good case would have sweet rolls and loves of orange bread in it.
The two year old hens went in with the one year hens. Bekah will clean where they were, getting it all spiffed up for this year's pullets, They will be laying soon, they need to get comfortable in their permanent quarters. Once they are laying the two year old hens go in the stew pot. We are looking forward to having more eggs.
I talked to Kevin and Keith yesterday. My sons from Alaska. Kevin and Eileen get here a week from today, Keith and Tami a week from tomorrow. We are counting the days! Tami is hoping the hummingbirds are still mobbing the feeders. Mob is the right word, they don't have any manners. So fiesty for such little birds. The fledgling are as big as their parents now.
May your day be blessed. Sally
