Laundry and some gardening yesterday morning. I had Ruby's help gardening so I didn't get much done. Mother was weeding. It doesn't work well to have Ruby helping weed. In the afternoon we rearranged the freezers so there was room for jugs of ice for the coolers in the vegetable stand. Cucumbers, new potatoes and other new vegetables go in self service coolers every day. Harvesting has now joined the daily list of weeding and watering. In the evening they went swimming, the kids had been clockwatching for closing time all day.
We roasted five chickens, making freezer room. I picked two last night. I'll pick the other three when it gets hot this afternoon. I'll also simmer the bones for broth. We need to work on the freezers more, we'll be butchering meat birds in a few weeks.
May your day be blessed, Sally
