All the meat birds are in the freezer. A busy Sunday afternoon means lots of chicken dinners. The old hens will go when the new ones start laying. Jay harvested everything that was ready. The coolers in the vegetable stand are full as is the milkhouse cooler. Bekah spent the evening watering. They all left at six this morning for a well deserved day off at Storyland.
There are so many hummingbirds coming to the feeders that they were empty this morning. I filled them about four yesterday. This morning I made hummingbird food with a little less water so I could cool it with ice cubes. I could hear them scolding about the empty feeders when I was writing up the weather.
The fog is burning off, the drizzle never reached the ground. There aren't many clouds. The Canadian smoke is gone. I have a basket of clothes to hang out, more in the washer. The smoke has been worse but I could smell it enough to not want to hang out laundry the last few days.
May your day be blessed, Sally.
